Anyone had the entry assist handle on the a-pillar come completely OFF while trying to enter the truck!?I am 175 lbs. at 6'1 and never used much pull but used to balance/assist getting into the truck while stepping up on the step rail. I would like to know how many others have had the same or similar problem.

I've heard of it though I don't use mine. I hear you can put it back on with some flat washers on the bolts. Of course if it were me I'd buy a new one with holes for gauges ;)

I'm 6' 220 and I pulled mine off after 7 months. I took it apart and machined a sleeve to fit over the plastic extrusion on it. If you put it back without some improvement it will just split apart again. A gear clamp would work too I suppose. In any event, I was less than impressed.

Mine broke about a week ago. Although the top of the handle was where it came apart at. The bottom still held so it still in place. Trucks going in tomrrow for some work, so I'm going to see if it still under warranty. If not then it's time for some gauges. I to am only 175 bls.

Lucky here so far. I weigh around 230. I use the handle every time. Truck is only 5 months old but I have noticed it flexes quit a bit. I agree with SRadke, quote " I'd buy a new one with holes for gauges "

Same thing happened to mine... . get "2" finger sized hose clamps and take the piece off..... put the hose clamps over the plastic extrusions and re-apply the piece..... mine has worked well for the last 8 months.
