Having searched, and reviewed many truck tires before purchasing the Toyo AT2's , how I missed the Sailuns, I don't know. I run the Sailun S637's on my fifth wheel, arguably the best G rated ST tire out there. The reviews ,and reputation have been excellent.

I am certainly going to entertain these Sailun Terramax in a LT 275/70/18 for my Ram 3500 the next time around. By then I will certainly have a feel for the Sailun S637's . So far the S637's have been great.

As usual the Sailuns in this AT tire is half the cost of the Toyo's. Thats not so much the motive, but also the reputation so far with Sailun, along with their 50K tread mileage.

Have read really nothing on the forums about these truck tires, although plenty about the Sailun S637's. Anyone with any experience with these truck tires ?

I love my Sailun S637 on my heavy tilt deck. I've got several thousand miles on them, most loaded moderate to heavy, and they are still well over half tread. Speed rated to 75mph. I'd buy em again over any of the recommendations on here. Not because people make poor recommendations necessarily but because they are THAT good of a tire at a fraction of the cost of anything comparable in performance.

I too am seriously looking at a set of Toyos (the CT). I did not even know these Teramax existed! At half the cost I'd seriously consider them too, the only hang up I have is they are not mountain snowflake rated which is generally one of my requirements.

How far off are you from buying new tires?

Made In CHINA

Sooo....do you know where your beloved Michelin's are made? Last I knew, they had a footprint in over 15 countries. It would be a real tear jerker if they were made in your favorite Asian land, which many of them are :-laf:-laf

Truth be told I prefer to buy American but anymore it's almost impossible to do so on a regular basis. I focus on buying local as much as possible to support my community, and buy the best product I can at the best deal. If it happens to be made in China  like MANY OEM Cummins parts are, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Buying from American OWNED companies doesnt give me the warm fuzzy feeling it used to when their product is made in godknowswhere land.

Sounds like you are trying to justify your purchases! He ASKED where the tires are MADE, I answered his question, did not ASK for your SERMON!

To be CLEAR EVERY tire I have ever purchased on ALL my Vehicles have been Made IN USA and I have driven WELL over 1 Million miles in my life.

YES the Michelins on my truck are Made In USA as are the GY "H" 17.5's on my 5er.

We can argue this China, USA thing until the cows come. Fact remains, and you know as well as anyone . The Sailun S637, and we can argue this too, but they are the best priced, best reviews of ANY trailer tire out there, and that goes for the beloved G614, which have a terrible history.

There was a day the Goodyear G614. was pretty much the only game in town, those days are long gone.

That's nice, now prove to me the tires mentioned are not Made In China. I could be wrong maybe Indonesia or?????

There is nothing to prove , yes they are made in China, you know that ,I know that. You also know what a reputation the S637 has gained , no denying that.

I want the best value for MY money, and it is certainly not Goodyear

Aww, are you mad someone beat you to your same old broken down sermon? :-laf:-laf

I am a ways away from new tires, my Toyo's are not quite a year old, so I got a ways to go yet.

The Toyo's so far are okay, nothing much to say about them other then they run quiet for AT tire. Time will tell. They are probably the most expensive AT tire out there, if not one of the most expensive.

My reason for bringing up the Sailun Terramax AT, is the great reputation the S637 has. Can't see where the Terramax would be any different. Wanted to see if anyone has had a chance to run them. Going to be a lot of skepticism , until they had proven themselves, same thing went on with the S637

" the beloved G614, which have a terrible history."

I did NOT criticize Sailun in anyway I just stated a fact answering a question. Now how about a little truth here! GY did have issues with their "G" tire early 07 and a bit before that. They covered any damages and replaced tie tires. Since they have been extremely trouble free.

We have beat this to death in the past just wanted some facts out there.

First off, there is nothing to criticize with the Sailun, so good for you for not trying. Heaven knows you try on many other subjects, most you have never even owned, but thats another subject.

Goodyear G614, had a terrible reputation ,yes they have improved, but there is a thread on the Montana forum awhile back ,another G614 blowout, just fewer ,and farther between now.

What Goodyear has accomplished quite well is the price increase on the G614, double what I payed for them in 2010, and double today what I payed for the Sailun S637.

IMO all you are getting for the price of the Goodyears as YOU well know is damage protection, I don't want damage protection ,I want a tire that doesn't have a reputation of blowouts, damage to the RV ,and sitting beside a road somewhere. No thanks, I will stick to Sailun. You stick to whatever you want, but you and Goodyear are a broken record.

AMAZING, answer a F-ING question and holy HE!! rains down. Speaking of "Broken Record".

Really makes someone want to become a member on here.
