AKaiser thanks for the links. The salt "cracking" is mostly to get rid of trans fats, it doesn't convert the oil into Biodiesel. . . just increases the quality of the WVO. But, supposedly the way to desalinate it afterwards is the beads, too expensive IMO, and I wouldn't trust them to thoroughly remove it. I doubt salt, even totally dissolved in the oil, would be too good for the injection pump, injectors or combustion chambers. But if the process did work, I could improve the quality of the veggie oil I get which is often almost solid at room temperature, and be able to run a higher percentage of it.
If you read the long DSE thread you'll see I've been doing the DSE version of biofuel, for the most part it has worked well and saved a LOT of $$.
