Same Water Pump??

5.9 and 6.7 Same Water Pump??

Does the 6. 7L take the same water pump as the 5. 9L?

Anybody?? Our 07 is out of town and lost the water pump. They have access to a 5. 9L pump and I was told that 40% of the engine parts from the 5. 9 carried over to the 6. 7. Just wondering if the water pump was one of them?

Officially the p/n is different but any 5. 9 water pump will work in a pinch. The flow rates will be slightly different as far a s I can figure. Shadrach

If the flow rate is more then the 5. 9 version is it worth upgrading on the older trucks when it goes bad.
