Sams Club vs. Costco. Costco is winning

Interesting read. . I shop at both Costco and Sams and I can tell you first hand, that I perfer Costco over Sams. Better, friendlier people, better service, less time spent waiting to checkout, and MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better warranty. Costco will let you refund anything (except PCs) if you're unhappy or it breaks. Lifetime warranty on the products they sell.

I used to work at a Sam's Club and I can tell you why the employees are so much worse than Costco... ..... $$$$ Costco pays way more than Sam's and actually cares about its employees. A friend who worked at Sam's with me was recruited away from Sam's by Costco. She had over 8 years at Sams and was being paid there highest hourly wage, when she got to Costco she got a $4. 00 per hour raise and told she would keep getting raises.



Another guy I went to high school with started with Costco while still in high school. He stayed on after that and still works there some 15 years later. He has a retirement program, 401K and makes upward of $50K a year. The only way you are going to make $50K a year at Sam's is to be a store manager and work 24-7.



I too shop at both, but buy much much more at Costco than Sams.

I can't get out of Costco without spending a couple hundred bucks. Seems like they aways have something interesting that I just can't live without. I think their quality is much better than Sam's too.

When I lived in Idaho I went to Costco. I live in Missouri now and they didn't have any Costo's nearby when I moved here(Costco is slowly moving into Missouri now), so I joined Sams club. I have shopped at both and my preference is Costco. KL
