Samsung Microwave?Beware!

Just a heads up. . If you have a fairly new camper with a Samsung microwave ,you better keep that bad boy unplugged when not in use. The latest issue of Trailer life magazine has all the details. Built from 1999 to 2003. . Call Samsung at 1 800 932 3837 for the models/serial #s that are being recalled. My brothers auto-ignited tonight arround 7 o'clock. . Something shorts out and it just stays on till it melts down..... Lucky he has a smoke alarm.

the keypad's short out, causing the microwave to turn on. I guess the microwave gets hot and starts to burn. I hear once you call them they send you some paperwork and you can have somebody fix it in the camper, or take it to a maytag repair station. There are only 4 screws you get to from the front to take the microwave out.

We had it done a couple of months ago. They send you the part then a tech shows up and changes it for you. Only takes about a half hour to change and the entire process was about two weeks.

I called the number and was told to remove the built in unit from the 5th wheel and deliver it to a repair shop. They will not come out to repair it. I saw a Panasonic at camping world, maybe I will replace it and Samsung can shove this one up thier a*s.

I have a Samsung in my TT.

Not sure about the model number... . it's been in the dealer for warranty work since late September.
