With all the complaints about dealers I just wanted to give a thumbs up to San Diego Dodge.
I had both airbag recalls done. The recall was done quickly and truck returned without a scratch and the interior was a clean as I brought it in.
Kudos and a thank you to the tech and service adviser Kent.
While I was there I had to lust over the new Jeeps too. Really nice.

Glad you had a good experience. I've not been so fortunate with dealers around here, ranging from flat out fraud to incompetence/sloppy work. Thankfully I've found some very small local shops and built relationships with them to work on what I can't (or don't want) to do.

I think the dealership experience is just like problems with our trucks, it only gets posted on this forum when something has gone south so kudos to you for posting a positive one. I asked Robert years ago to start a "member recommended shop" forum but that never went anywhere. How many times do we see a post "need a good mechanic in xyz location"?

It’s very hard to vouch for a dealer, the turnover rate is not good and large dealers will have multiple techs that may work on diesels.I built a good clientele and told Management if they wanted to keep me I would get every diesel that came in,when things got too busy I would send the easy ones to techs I could trust doing a good job.

Yeah,I've had mixed results with dealers.
Hine Dodge here destroyed my Dometic awning on the popup. I didn't notice it until I got home. Couldn't claim it at that point. Had a trans service on my 47re done there and the interior was smeared with ATF. I brought it back and the service writer himself cleaned it up. They'd fired the guy that morning.
Luckily I've got a knowledgeable smog tech and Pablo and Joe at NTG.
I've had universally good luck at Pacific Honda here. Everything was done on time and right the first time. I don't know what they do differently. Maybe better compensation and not rushing them.
