Truck/Car Show

All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle.....

Well guys, I finally remebered to check out the date for the sand drags. The date is July 12-13th. This is the weekend with the country fair, just like last year. I believe the event takes place in Ossipee, Maine, just like last year.

For more information check out: www.neorvca.com

So who's ready to whip some a#@ this year?

Matt,

Oh come on man, I doubt it will hop as bad as it did when you tried your hand at pulling. So far, if all goes well I'll be there. Tell your Dad that he'll love it.

Suprised no one else has replied so far:rolleyes:

By the way, I have no idea why this thread posted twice. Sorry for the inconveniance.

Man, we had such a good time last year, I wish I could make it... but it doesn't look good... . anyone camping out there like TDews and I did last year?

MTE

Okay - so are the sand drags on the 12th or the 13th? (I should have looked at the website first... . der!)

I wonder if my GF will leave me if we go to the same event, two years in a row on her birthday. She had fun last year and I already told her that it was on the 12th this year... ... hrmmmmm.

I'm probably setting myself up for a war..... :-laf

Dad sounds pretty psyched about it.....

The way it is setup now, my truck will hop bad. I brake torqued it for about 3 seconds on Saturday - same nasty hop as my attempts to pull the sled @ Muncie.

I gotta get that thing fixed! (official cry for help from the magical diesel fairies... . :-laf )

It appears that the races are both days, with Saturday ( 12th) being the time trials, and Sunday the points races. We raced the time trials last year only.

Should be another good year. Thinking of maybe bringing the quad too this time, just need paddles and a tether switch.

Wheaties, I would have thought for sure that you'd be going. Hell, last year weren't you the one who taxied a certain gas filling union electrician around southern NH and missed all the good stuff:D?

He didn't miss out riding in the vomit comet with my girlfriend..... to this day I still say that he was yelling louder than my girl. :D

We need Joe to show up again - he bought the lobster last time - man, what a feast that was.

Everyone else was eating fried dough, sausages, and fries. We had corn, steamahs, lobstahs, tahbullie (that's my hacked spelling... ), etc.....

Between Tim Dews and MTE - we had that little campsite rockin' with some out of this world chow.

MTY

I almost got sick while you guys were riding in that thing... .

Just standing there and looking up at it moving all over the place was enough for me. I think I had too many corndogs and homemade lemonade that afternoon..... :)

MTY

Sorry guys,I got to go play Army that weekend, someone has to do it..... have a good time. . whens the next gathering. make it the 3rd or 4th weekend of the month.

Yes...

Brian,

I am planning on going and I will be staying overnight.

Too good of a time to pass up and I can't say enough about how great the other racers are.

It's a great time for all :D :D :D

Joe

Mark,

I am not too sure. I do remember seeing a small mom & pop hotel in the town.

For me, it's under the stars in the back of the truck :D Unless it rains  Then, I will be looking for that hotel ;)

Last year we didn't reserve a campsite, so we were able to shoehorn ourselves into a campsite, but we were lucky to get it. A reservation would be a good idea.

BigDaddy... used to know a guy that went by that handle... whatchoo look like?

MTE

Uncle Joe????

Uncle Joe used to sit on the porch all day in "Petticoat Junction" and watch the fillies bathe in the water tank... . I can bet BigDaddy wishes he were Uncle Joe.

Hey Youngin',

Thanks for the welcome back :D

Have you had enough graduating and congratulations partying  Never mind don't answer that, I already know your answer :D

Hey Oldin',

Forget about that Petticoat Junction Uncle Joe stuff :p I want to do more than look  :D

Is Petticoat Junction located in West Virginia  Is that why Uncle Joe always looked so tired

Mark,

We had three trucks in two sites with plenty of room. If we get a list of people wanting to camp, I can try to make reservations for adjoining sites ;) I believe each site was $15/day no utilities.

Thanks for the reservation idea Matt :D
