Sandia Showdown - Oct 11

Who is planning to come, if anyone? Would like to see a good turn-out (even tho its in the middle of the Balloon Fiesta) as this years turn-out may determine whether or not it continues.



Think we may have about 6-8 now, who are the "faithful", but hopefully we can get more to come out. Plan to pass out copies of the registration form to all the CTD's I see and leave some at the Cummins center.

I am leaving Monday on fishing trip to Florida but plan to make it back in time to go up to Belen. What is the latest that I can fax my registration in?

Probably should be able to register the day of the event but better call Auge's and ck. Dont have the #'s avail but should be on the registration page.



Trying to hand out forms when I can to CTD owners I see in a parking lot. Hope this will increase our attendance. We are "planning" to assist with the Balloon Fiesta but take that day off. Dont know if its going to work out yet.



GREAT that the AZ persons are joining us, should make for interesting "displays".

I stopped by Auge's this past Monday evening - David said they are re-considering having the Showdown this year because of last years really small turnout.



If we want this - we had better let them know and also let everyone else with a CTD know to show up.

We'll be gone next week thru the 9th but already faxed mine down. Have another from here (does exhaust systems - Eloy) who got a oneton recently (used - think its a 98) that is planning to attend. Will be going down to Auge's today for parts pick-up and chatting.



If I count this thread, we have about 6-8 going to be there. Maybe some of the ones I left on other Rams may show. They picked a bad day to do it with the other BIG rallies going down and Balloon Fiesta (we registered for crewing but will be gone due to change in plans).

OUCH!!! BNo SAhowdown.......

Just talked to Dave Auge about my liner and ... . found out NO SANDIA SHOWDOWN. Butt they are having a Rodeo days or something like that and will still be going down to it. Truck will not be up to display (due to 3 week trip to east) as just got back to town today. But will still be TALKING and WALKING the walk. .

EDIT 10-10-03:

Whell, there are going to be a few of us show up at the Fair Grounds (across from Wall-Mart) just off I-25 exit 195. Saw Robert Auge yesterday and he only had 5 registrations so that was why it gots CANCELED. Will be around both days (Sat/Sun) for some of the other functions (Bar-B-Q on Sat nite and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday). . Will be busy as also helping with the Fireworks at the Balloon Fiesta. Last nite was a real Whopper of a show and hope that tonite is a gud 1 2. Sat nite show may be off due to winds/rains predicted.
