Went down SR 33 headed toward Athens OH.

If I remember correctly it was Blue.

Should have followed it and grabbed a few pics.

BTW I'm not wacko... ... .

Michigan plates, Saw the first Furd Windstar go thru town a few years back. Had the big foam fender covers on it. Followed by a couple of Dodge caravans and a couple of other Furds.

Don't know where they go with the stuff but they obviously like the road.

They will probably circle back towards Detroit. Last month I saw 3 Ford Ranger mules complete with the blackout masking and Michigan plates. They were heading south from Wisconsin into Illinois, so I'm guessing their route took them around Lake Michigan.

We used to see the mules and even undisguised test vehicles in the Davis Mountains of West Texas during the summers quite often. Usually they were dragging trailers doing cooling system testing, I would guess. I suspect most of the vehicles were from the manufacturers' Arizona proving grounds, although some of them might have come down from Firestone's high speed test track in Fort Stockton, Texas which was only about 80 miles away.

For a few years we saw quite a few pre production Dodges around Jean Nevada, just south of Vegas, always 4x4's and very dirty :)

Last year in the everglades of FL i saw a chevy 1500 with a diesel. it was brand new, no plates, and had diesel signage all over it, as well as me standing next to it hearing it idle. I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy who was driving it. Oh well, i guess it hasn't made it into production.
