I stopped by Hartzheim Dodge in Hayward today and there were two new Cab and Chassis 6. 7's hiding out back. They were both five speeds. Took a bunch of photos and can post them if anyone is interested in seeing. I was under the assumption that they would not be available until 1/1/07, but then again, maybe that is why they were parked out back.

Didn't see Crossley's post when I searched. Guess it's old news. Sent off some photos with captions to be resized so they can be posted. Hope to have them posted soon.

I'll still take that engine compartment over the 6. 4L powerstroke anyday... . you can still see the floor.

If you buy a brand new 6. 7 and take all that EGR "Crap" off will it mess with the computer????

oh yeah... kill the kitty and say hello to CEL...

i wonder if the same idea as the "fingerstick" could work on the new cummins as it works on the dmax? [maybe not as the cat/pm trap have sensors, while the dmax didn't]

The horsepower sticker on the valve cover was 306 at 2900 rpm. The print was kind of small so I didn't take a picture of it.

And I think someone asked on MCrosleys post if the starter sounds different. That is for sure. Not sure what they did, but it does not have the familiar Cummins sound.

Not to be negative but man o man am I glad I got an 06 :--)

I'll have to second that, even though I bet it runs great, that is a lot of stuff all clustered in there in the name of cleaner exhaust. Oh well, I am happy with my new 5. 9. :D

holy crap! engine swaps are getting harder and harder! what a cluster of stuff to go wrong. heck any problem in the motor (if your non warranty) youre going to spend $1000. 00 in sensors and crud befor you find your problem

Id still buy one though. 4x4 dump manual trans Oohhh yeah!

Does anyone now, is the Integral Brake going to be available on the 6. 7 version that is being released in the 2500-3500 PU's as of Jan 01 ??

not only will messing with the emissions be an instant waranty voider and it WILL set every code known to man but I will also tell you that dealers will not hesitate to turn you in; this is no longer a game of a kitty cat but a whole new level of tampering with a emissions system the "I got a new exhause system installed what do you mean they forgot the cat" is not going to fly on this one... . Just a thought guys

Wonder how long it will be before someone has an aftermarket controller for the turbo so it can go on an '03-'06 truck. Would be nice to have the benefits of quick spool and e-brake in one package.

What the heck is EGR anyway?

Yes, I'm extremely glad I've got an 05. That thing looks so complicated I'm sure you could hardly do anything on it past changing your own oil.
