How much space do I need to keep between a tool box and gooseneck hitch? I'm looking to install both a gooseneck and hopefully an auxillary fuel tank/tool box but a little worried things are going to get too tight back there.
I've got about three inches or so between my B&W Hitch and the front of my RDS 51 gal. tool/fuel combo. I probably could have ooched the box closer to the front of the bed but have had no issues w/my trailer(s) with this spacing.
I'm guessing your trailer is OK for a short bed gooseneck. My big square front trailer never would make it with a short bed. It would take out the rear window pronto on a tight turn.
