sbcglobal.net users FYI - email notification issues

We've been contacted by several sbcglobal.net users over the last week that they are no longer receiving email notifications. I've checked the logs and sbcglobals server is bouncing the emails back as having a data format error. This problem is only happening with sbcglobal. I have contacted sbcglobal's tech support and they are escalating the issue to higher level to attempt to resolve the issue on their end. They said they will get back to me with status updates and I'll update here when the problem is resolved.

Is this going to be a slow thing to get resolved? Anything we can do on our end?

We'll see. The tech support person said this is a problem they've been having and are aware of it (I assume it's affected many other sites as well). It's all on their end as far as how long it takes, etc. If I don't hear from them by the end of the week I'll email you guys with information that you can contact them with and maybe that will push things along faster as well but let's give them a chance to work on it first.

Ok so what's up? Did an SBC bean counter decide they could cut down their traffic by blocking forum notifications or something? Steve is it time to contact SBC (now AT&T) and start complaining?
