A few more questions new to me 2018

My 2016 6.7 High Output is currently in the dealership with a P20E8 code, Reductant Pressure too low. Does anyone know of a commercially available scan tool that would allow me to monitor this pressure and do my own diagnostics? Will be out of warranty soon and would like to be able to fix it myself.

Thanks,

Charlie Wade

My 2014 is so at the dealer for the same code. Apparently replacement DEF pumps are not available. FCA have suspended the part to investigate all the recent failures. My dealer had three trucks with P20E8 within a few days, including a 2016 like yours.

I purchased the Autel MK808TS since I needed the TPMS function, but although it will regenerate the DPF it cannot flush the DEF system. At least I cannot find how to tell it to do so if it does.

just received the P20E8 code with dreaded CEL and restricted driving. just went over 50K miles = no warranty. dealer is telling me no pumps until MAY 2021!! do they exepect us to park our trucks for 6 months? is there anything else besides the pump that can fix this? are they making a 'better" pump? frustrated in SOMD

Sorry to hear this, Scott. Guess I was lucky in that my truck failed about two weeks before the warranty ran out and they said the pump would be there in 5 days and it was. You questions are good and valid, hope they come up with more and reliable parts soon.

I think the warranty for the powertrain and emissions system is 5 years/100K miles on my 2016. My truck only had 45K on the odometer when it failed the middle of October, but it was 5 years old on October 31, 2020.
