Help.

Out here in Needles, Ca. Truck has been running Ok for 2,000 miles.

Now when driving done the road it feels like I released the acc.

pedal. Boost drops off comes right back. Really doesn't loose speed.

Happens at all speeds. Disconnected Banks, switched back to intank

pump, no difference. No codes at all.

Any help will appreciated.

Possible APPS ? Do you still have pedal when the boost drops ?

yes I let up a bit and then push it down, boost comes back.

If cruise is on it just takes care of itself. But still acts like someone lifted

up the pedal.

You can try an APPS reset, might help.

1- remove both negative battery terminals for 10-15mins.

2- replace terminals

3- key on truck, do not start.

4- s-l-o-w-l-y push the go pedal from 0 to full 3 times then shut off truck.

5- go for a drive. If nothing changed, get a quote on a new apps from dealer.

have you checked for codes? (turn key on, then off 3 times, then leave on for the 3rd time. it will show P codes, if any)

good luck

Mine was acting similar, driving east on I-90, all of a sudden it was as if I turned the key off momentarily, just died and took off again, then it did it again, and again.

I limped into Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Id, no codes, all sensors checked out, turned out, all my injector cross tubes were loose. Rail pressure was dropping low enough to stop my injectors from firing. They did a re-torque and all has been good since, over 9 month ago.

It's an easy check, you will know in short order whether or not they are loose.

Same thing happened in my motorhome a few years ago. Turned out to be fuel filters. They just couldn't keep the flow up. you could watch the boost crash and then after a few seconds come back. Once you used up the fuel in the filter that got thru, it would crash again.

Thanks guys for the info. The next morning while going over a short but steep

bridge in cut out. Finally setting a code. Apps. Had to go to Bullhead City, Az.

to get the part. They had ONE in stock. $600. 00 later, it runs purfect now.

Next day rear caliper left side locked up. Right side locked up two weeks ago.

All is good and still not wanting to jump ship to the other side.

Where'd you go, Swantys ? I was in Bullhead Monday picking up a 35' 5th to haul back up here for a friend . :D

Glad you got it resolved, sorry it cost you 600. 00, but when you are on the road you are kind of stuck with what's available.

Help Diesel fuel prices....

In California hit as high as $4. 20 a gal. Just pulled my Chevy pickup out and fired it up. What's going on?

Somebody raised their voice in an irritated manner somewhere in the middle east, and sent the speculators into a panic. Funny how the cost of crude has dropped, but the price still climbs.

Even before Egypt went into turmoil some office dweller rubbed his crystal ball and predicted $5. 00 a gallon for gas by summer of 2011, so obviously Big Oil felt the need to make sure it happened.

And now back to the original topic of this thread...

Yes I did go to Swantys. It was them or go back to Kingman. Made it home OK.

Made another trip to east coast, no problem.

Stopped by Banks on the way home and I should of had the new revised Six-Gun.

But they shipped old stock. They repaired it while I waited, no charge. Nice place

but no place to park. Had to park on the next street and walk over. If anyone has

A Banks system and it has the ground wires going to the fender, you have the old

stuff. The revision removes the ground from the fender and puts it in boost switch

circut. Now that is going to elemenate my crank sensor code. ?????? We'll see.

Going to hook it up tomorrow, Friday. No need to rush things.
