2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Scarry brakes

Had a wierd experince with my brakes on my 95. twice in the last week when i was slowly pulling into a parking spot, my brake and ABS light came on and my braqke pedal went hard and no brakes. both times moving real slow so no problem stoping. Did a search but could not find any info.



Any ideas or has this happened before to anyone.

Your year truck uses a vacum pump to operate the brakes. These have been known to go bad and some go bad slowly. The first indication is hard brakes when the engine idles. The rpm's are low and the pump output drops off.

Check the brake booster first. Could have a blown diaphram in it.
