Schaeffers "SoyShield" Fuel Additive

Has anyone tried this stuff?

Was thinking about switching from PS. I did a google search and only came up with soy farmer media. Schaeffers claims the following,



Mileage Improvement (5-7%)

Horsepower Improvement (Up to 5%)

Cetane Improvement (Up to 3-4 points)

Fuel Lubricity Improvement (Up to 30%)

Cleans Injectors (exceeds Cummins L10)

Corrosion Inhibitor (exceeds Cummins N14)

Moisture Control

De-Icer***

Lowers Cold Filter Plugging Point**



Isn't soy used in bio-diesel also?

I haven't heard of this product, but your right Soybeans are used in Bio-Diesel

... a soy-derived diesel fuel additive developed more than three years ago with funding from the Minnesota Research and Promotion Council. After extensive testing, the National Biodiesel Board decided to put SoyShield on the market.

I've been using it for over 3 years now. Engine runs quieter. Dad runs it in his C12 and you can notice when he uses it or not. A couple local trucking companys use it.
