i just got my pump back from them and the said it flowed 450cc of fuel. it has 4000 gsk, delivery valves, #4 plate, and 18 deg timing. Is that good or can i do more, i am shooting for 600-700 hp? thanks.

Should be enough fuel to get you there... I am thinking of sending mine to them too, what did they charge you if you dont mind questioning.

Depends on the injector your using. I have a stock but turned up 215 pump and mine is at 600 on #2 only using 370 injectors, more than that with the EDM's. Personally I like a #5 or 6 plate better than a 4 but that is me... ..... has a softer bottom end.

so, what else could i do to the pump, schied told me that was about all they could do to it before my driveability on the road would be a problem, i think i am goin to rum new eras 435 injectors when i can get a new turbo and clutch. thanks guys.

You will probably have to sacrifice a little driveability to get to where you want. I sent my 887 pump to Industrial Injection. The have a good pump stand also. They were able to get about 525 cc out of mine max. I had it backed down from there to 425cc wiyh 181 delivery valves. You might want to have your pump shop max it out and see if you can live with the oddities that go with a maxed out pump. (bucking at just off idle, 1200-1300rpm stutter, etc. ) I'm sure you could get 600 out of your pump with larger injectors and modest timing. I was at 518hp with 16deg of timing, 181 delivery valves and Mach 1. 2's(80hp injectors) before my cam change. Very mild ***** cat daily driver at this point. No bad habits, very modest smoke level, no crossed eyes from keeping one eye on pyrometer. 200 hps injectors and 19 deg of timing would take it over 600hp with quite a bit of smoke. 600 hp with a p7100 is going to smoke.

Thanks RonA, the smoke dont bother me cause i am gonna do sled pullin plus i like the smoke. What did they do to your pump that they didnt do to mine that got you 525ccs. If i could get that out of my pump i could easily get 700 plus. thanks.

It could just be the difference between pump stands. Did you ask them to max out the pump, or max out and still be daily driveable? If it is a sledpuller only there is alot more they can do. (alot) When i talked to Scheid they gave me a max number of around 425-450cc. I thought that was their max recommend for a daily driver. (it's been a while ago) Brad Ponci in Fortuna has a procedure he does to the 215 pumps that pretty much maxes the output(max with stock internals) I think he was doing 675 or so on #2.

The problem with your pump is the lack of fill time using the 175hp(841) camshaft.

ya i think my pump is maxed out for the internals, they told me that the differenet camshaft and stuff like that would make it so i couldnt drive it on the street. So i think i am done until i quite driving it on the road and start doing just sled pulls.
