I just had the Scheid Street Cam & Spearco Intercooler installed on my truck, and I have to say the combo rocks!

My EGT's cruising empty at 70 with the Edge Juice on 6x1 and the EZ on 1 are now in the low 400's. Also, the smoke levels are way down. Up to about half throttle I don't get any smoke, and above that I get a brief puff until the boost comes up. I'm finally comfortable daily driving in Los Angeles county with the Juice "Hot". (That was a very expensive $100 upgrade!) The truck has so much power now that you don't even need to go above half throttle unless you just feel the "need for speed". For all you smoke lovers, I can get a decent cloud by flipping the switch on the EZ up to 3, and a really good cloud by turning the Low Boost Fueling up to 5 on the Juice.

The Spearco's a bit of a pain to install, because the brackets need work on an 06, and you can forget about having room to install driving lights behind the grill, but it is a thing of beauty and power once installed.

Hear's a picture of the Spearco next to the stock unit.

Another noticeable benefit is that the engine idles much quieter now. I'm not sure if that's due to the cam, or due to the fact that the valve lash was readjusted after installation of the cam, but the difference is very noticeable.

Also, I've noticed that now that I have the cam, intercooler, turbo, intake, & exhaust that the engine is much peppier when I first start up in the morning and the Edge's cold engine protection feature is engaged. This is a good thing, because I've scared myself a couple of times turning out into traffic in the morning thinking I had more power than I did.

I paid $1225+tax for my Spearco. I combined the install with the cam install, so I saved a lot of money there. I went with it because it seemed to have the best design with it's bar & plate construction vs. the more common tube and fin construction. I've never seen a good intercooler comparison writeup, but I'm pretty sure this one would be in the top two for flow & EGT reduction. You can read a little more about it here:

Spearco has been around for a while, and is big in other racing markets. They are relatively new to the Dodge diesel performance scene, but they do know how to make a good intercooler.

Your bigger cam has also contributed to your significant reduction in egt's because it lets in much more air into the engine.
