I just received my RE-0880 and 25-0880 air filters. I see the pre-filter (25-0880) is only about 9 1/2 inches where the RE-0880 is almost 14 inches. Is this the right pre-filter? I can already see I am going to have to get the Psychotty system. This Bombing sure is addictive, I have a shelf full of parts ready to go on this weekend.

rmk, you are gonna love this. See this thread. K&N accidently put the wrong part # on some of the sock pre-filters. It appears you got one.

Hemi, Thanks for the info, I must have missed that post. You know the pre-filter I received in two days when I ordered it from a local parts store, but I had to wait almost 4 weeks for the actual filter. I guess I'll give K & N a call. Thanks again for the info. Waiting to Bomb Sucks!!!

Hello,
After six weeks or so and a lot of calls I fially recieved the right 25-0880 pre-filter.
If it is not folded its the short one.
Call K&N at 1-800-858-3333.
My first BOMB is on.
Sounds great!
Another tip is to use foam air filter oil only on the pre-filter. I looked this a. m. no oil down the fender(K&N oil will not stay in the loose cells of the pre-filter,been there etc. ). I got it at a motorcycle
shop. Use rubber gloves,that stuff is STICKY!
Now who out west would be interested in sending me a black abs coupling you are using
?Payment in full plus tip!!Abs is out-lawed around here,and a PVC sett up gets too long.
