Well I was going to get new filters for my Scotty II intake, but after much searching, found out that Scotty is out of business and Uni doesn't make the filters anymore. So now I'm in the market for a new air intake, preferable cowl induction since I already have that huge hole in the firewall! Any any all recommendations would be appreciated.

A cowl intake is gonna be loud in cab!
But maybe the Scotty was also?
See my sig!!

How about building yourself a box to house a BHAF. If you search Google images for things like BHAF airbox you'll see what concoctions people come up with. :)

I had the same issue, UNI filter was getting crunchy and I won't use an AFE or K&N because they let to much dirt through. Oil samples told the story. I went with a S&B dry filter and intake from DAP. So far so good. I havent modified the box to use the hole in the fire wall yet, but may this spring.
As for the noise I put a bulkhead inside the cowl to separate it from the vent intake . Old equipment operator ears can't handle the Hoover sound.

Just curious as to why you have such a distaste for Wyoming.

It's a cold windy place that has no people. What few people that live here are total jerks and we have plenty of road rage here! For example, I almost had to curse under my breath when I was approaching a truck while another car was passing. He punched on the gas just before I had to cancel my cruise control! It also snows every month of the year and is a reason for people to stay away... Far away!!

For the Scotty mentioned above, I was offering a way for the OP to recycle instead of giving it to the landfill!

Thanks all! I think I'll be going with the S&B dry filter and airbox...looks like quality stuff.

Mikey I'll send you the old Scotty II if you really want it, but the housing has come apart at the seam and I had to screw it back together. I'll let you know when I get the S&B unit installed, and then if you want to pay for shipping, the Scotty II is yours!
