All,

Is the new design of the Scotty II one that requires a hole be drilled through the firewall or does it not need this anymore?

I am looking for more turbo whine... but are there any pictures of an install where you can "deselect" the noisy mode if the wife complains?

I understand it sucks air from the cab... good idea... my ears can take the popping!

Anxious to install this little hummer!

The Scotty II for the 94-02 CTD's is the one that use's the cowl hole as well as the fender outlet.

I just cut my cowl hole yesterday and after all the talk I heard about "to much noise" :{ here's what I think... ...

All I have to do is turn the radio on and the whine is down to torrible level's! Oo. Turn it up and its all but gone!:D

If your truck has the flap of insulation/soundproofing materal that needs to be folded outta the way as pictured you can fold it back in place and it quiets it down some. It only gets loud when your pushin 25+psi and even then with the windows down I cant hear it.

Oo.

OKAY you got my attention where do you get a SCOTTY II and how much are they. I can sure use some help in the EGT area

Got mine from Rip.

I have a B1 and the whine is louder (see thread this section). Whine loud or not I think has some to do with which turbo you have.

My H2E spools quicker and is louder with the ScottyII, than with the BHAF with the cowl hole. The whine only gets loud above 40# of boost. Great Product and it does what is claimed in lowering EGT temperature.
