Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Scotty II replacment filter

Anyone know what the AFE filter number is for the filter that is used in the Scotty II? Mine has a big ol' crack in the "flange" where the filter attaches to the intake hose. Not sure if it occured before or during removal for cleaning, but the inside of the hose was pretty clean so I'm thinking I did it taking the hose off. You may want to check though just to rule out that it cracked under the stress of the weight of the intake hose, because mine was on the bottom as if it had broken while flexing. Just a heads up.

J- if you still have proof of purchase I would send it back to AFE for evaluation.



I bet they replace it for free, you could always use it for a back up.



what do you have to lose? these filters are pricey

Bob, thats what I was thinking of doing. However the filter that has the crack I dont think could be used as the crack is aprox 1/2 the way around the area the intake hose hooks to and goes all the way through. i wouldnt trust it to hold up.
