As far as warranty I have been told verbatim from 2 different dealers: The only reason the warranty would be voided is if the modification CAUSED the problem with the vehicle... and of course the warranty does NOT cover the aftermarket part itself.

This was told to me after I tired to have some engine work done on a jeep with a lift kit... they tried to make me pay for an exhaust maniofld that cracked saying it cracked because of a suspension lift. . stating the entire vehicle warranty was void. So I kept looking until I found out that was NOT TRUE.

And I do believe someone said above it depends on the dealer... this is true BUT in truth they can not (or at least should not) void you out for modifications... unless it is certain that is what caused the problem.

It is WELL known the manifolds on JEEPS cracked. In fact its NOW part of the EMMISSIONS WARRANTY for 7/80. New updated design. Most experianced service writers and service managers unless just a BUT HOLE never pull that stuff. I/we never did were I worked WANTED the WARRNTY repair and MONEY. We just FIXED the thing. Only part were it might have been a pain is IF LIFT KIT caused MORE work then stock to R&R and then we DISCUSSED with owner for a reasonale situation.

I would like to build my own intake system, but I'm a little unsure about the intake sensor. Are most of these kits molding it into there tube like the factory setup??
