Ok... . I've Gotten A Scotty air setup in the Beast... Even got one of those Fine Mesh Black Socks over it to keep the "Fines" out. .

But I Gotta Ask... .

I'm the kind of guy who Finds a scratch in the paint and needs a month of Crisis Management to get through it!!!

If someone parks too close I take TWO Prozac!!!

(Ask The Wife... She'll just roll the eyes... )

After all we're talking about a $30,000 truck here!!!

How did you guys work up the NERVE to cut that 4" hole for the Psychotty Air System???

MY GOD!!!!... You can stick your whole FIST in it and not touch the sides. !!!!

If you needed to . . you'd play HELL sealing it up again!!!

Those IRREVERSABLE ACTS give me the Willies. .

Ok... . I'm Coming in from the ledge now.....
Talk to me!!!

Larry

Actually ... where you cut the hole... isn't that bad ... I don't have Scott's setup yet #ad
#ad
I'm still miffed about the lack of the filter minder ... Scott sent me an e-mail about it over a month ago and I agree completely with his logic ... not to mention his tests. You can always pop rivet something over the hole when you decide to part with your favorite toy. I would keep the piece of insulation and put it back. Unless the buyer is savvy to mods ... they wouldn't know the difference. IMHO

Life is good!

Wait 'till you go to cut the hole in the middle of the roof for a CB antenna! For them to work efficiently, the middle of the truck, on the roof is considered the optimum location! Has to do with "ground plane". I too was/am nervous as heck, but I'm gonna have to get over it if I want the radio to work at its best.

Don't be such a bunch of wusses! How bad do you want it? Well, get out there and go for it! You can't heal unless you cut steel!
Otherwise, call me or Evan Beck-"The Sawzall Brothers"! (specializing in induction and exhaust system surgery) Just do it!!

Come on you guys, that 4 1/2 hole is easier than the little one for the pyro sender. If you haven't done that you don't need a Psychotty anyways.

Now where do I put the valve for the jacobs brake. I don't think i should put it in the hole.

Hey wait a minute Bill! Mr. Sawzall (a. k. a. NW Punk) hasn't worked up the nerve to cut the 4. 5" hole in his new '01 Ram yet. LOL

Come on over Evan, I'll blast that hole in your cowl for ya... no charge either... the look on your face while the chips are flyin' would be payment enough for me. #ad
Hey, maybe I could do Mike's cowl at the same time... Yeehaw, let 'er rip baby! #ad

About half way through the cut... Suddenly stop. . pull back and say... "OOPS... . "

Now That's A High "Pucker Factor" event. !! #ad

I installed the psychotty air last night at work (on my lunch break of course). You should have seen jmbrowning's and my eyes bugging out as the 4. 5" saw bounced around and tore it's big hole! #ad
I guess there's no two ways about the install, but it seemed like hackery to me... . good thing the touch up paint matches.
Now it's time to find some dense insulation 'cause it sounds like the turbo is sitting in my glove box. The verdict is now out to see if it does what it claims

Maybe Evan was putting it off because the Garnet Red touch up paint was on backorder. I remember picking up the last one in the area... . but I'm done with it now, step up!

I have to admit that I'd be timid with that kind of artillery, THAT IS A BIG HONKIN' HOLE! Mike has nerves of steel and will keep on blasting till he runs out of ammo.
Fortunately I can live vicariously by hanging around the BOMBers #ad

C'mon, it's not like you're cutting a hole in the front quater panel. If you pull and fold back the iinsulation, if you ever decided to take it out and put it in your next truck, you could just patch it and cover it.

As for this system, it works well. I have consistently seen 100 degrees lower on the highway across the board.

The PSA is a no brainer. Especially with the many high priced mods out there.
