scratches on '06 aluminum wheels

I have had my new 06 for about 2 weeks now, yesterday I went up into the mountains, there was some mud in some places, people had put sticks and logs accross one mud section. I get my truck all washed up and cleaned today, and noticed huge gouges and scratches in the finish on my wheels, I am pretty disappointed, I think my 02 does not have any scrathes on the wheels and its been through a lot more than this truck, any one else have this problem

I got mine stuck in a mud hole up to the front axle last weekend and now have rings around the rim where it was rubbing against gravel. Have not had time to attempt repairs, but maybe a buffing wheel with some polish?
