What: Oyster Roast, Cookout & Truck Show.

When: 3/8/08, 2PM to ?

Where: My backyard camp & cooking spot. RSVP for address.

John G. offered to bring the oysters and cook em' I will have smoked country sausage sandwiches and fixins.

Cost, we will divide up the cost based on what we spend for it, oysters ain't quite free.

I have a big tree backyard and camp spot, we cookout regularly, PLENTY of parking, the ribs are from a diner last year.

I just ask that you respect the neighborhood.

SCTDR is staying active, we can also talk about 2008's major event, details to follow and we can theorize about it while the oysters are settling down. Pass the word to other TDR members and other CTD owners, we have room for some more members.

Now, to plan this we need RSVP's. You RSVP on the forum by 3/6/08, I'll PM you the address. I'm in Hartsville SC.

Check your schedules!

Less than 2 weeks till the Spring Oyster Roast & Cookout!!!!!!!!!

Check your schedules, get your honey doo's done, shine the truck and join us for an outdoor spring cookout!

I spoke with Jglascow and he's ready to roll and get the oysters, and I have promised backyard cooked smoked country sausage to go with it. I asked John to bring up a mess of shrimp for a little side dish, we'll grill em or boil em up.

Invite other CTD owners, let's have some fun, just RSVP for directions.

See you there.

Oops, with everything else going on, almost forgot to RSVP. I'll be coming down for certain.

Checked with Bob Rizzo, the other Liberty CRD owner, unfortunately he won't be able to make this one.

Mitchell,

PM sent with the address and directions.

We still have room for more oyster slurpers or whatever it is you have to do to down one of those things, can you tell I'm and oyster rookie? PLease RSVP.

We just finished an expensive repair on Jake's '97, 6 new LTX M/S, 4 NAPA premium ball joints, pittman arm (who was Pittman anyway) and alignment.

MUCH tighter wheel in hand, feels good so far, need to try a high speed run.

If I have missed sending the address to anyone that is coming, please put up a message or PM me, I'll send it to you.

If you have a folding chair and want to bring it, please do. I do have wood benches, but make yourself comfortable.

Oysters, Shrimp, Scallops and Sausage!

What a day for WIND, not a breeze, this was a tree toppling flag ripping all day cold wind, but we had 8 hardy members that showed up for a backyard cookout. John G, his son John Steven and Jamie drove up from Mt. Pleasant along with the oysters, shrimp, scallops and a boiler. Gregg drove in from Chapin, Tracy from Florence and later Darian and Gil from McBee.

This was my first oyster roast and I was suprized, them things make good eating! We grilled the shrimp and scallops, I smoked the sausage and it was time to eat. Wish my travels last week would have allowed me a bit more leisure time, I was in Houston and drove back through the Crawdad farms, that would have made a good addition to the feast.

Big thanks to all that braved the wind and a special thanks, we owe you the next meal to John Glasgow for bringing the seafood.

Wish i could have made it down yesterday, but we ended up having some wind-related problems up here, as in trees and roof shingles both wanting to take flight. And in the afternoon my sister ended up going into the hospital with breathing problems, bad enough they put her in intensive care and had to put a breathing tube down her throat.

Even though I didn't manage to make it, I'd be more than glad to kick in a contribution to help cover the cost of the seafood and fuel for the gents that brought it up from Charleston - I know I would have been sucking up my fair share of shrimp and scallops if I'd been there!

You should have just taken pictures of the food and trucks. Remember we want more members and taking pictures of all us thugs doesn't help much.

Thanks for a great time Gary, just wish I had made it home when I planed on it. The truck is still at exit 92 off I-20. Stupid transmission left me at the pump LOL. I’ll get her fixed. I’m not in such a hurry now that I picked up a Honda Accord yesterday to drive to work. ME IN A CAR!!! THE END IS NEAR!

Nope. I think it choked on the $112. 00 worth of fuel at the pump. All she would do is back up. I sent her back to TN to find out what happened. I’ll let you guys know. Thanks again for the help John, Gary and Tracy.

Gregg,

Sorry you didn't make it home with the truck. I'll TRY to hold my comments about PRNDL based drivetrains.

Got to go.
