Northern VA meet & greet

Truck pull MACON County 10/14

Howdy. I'm new to the site, and new to the diesel scene.

I'm just trying to find out where some of the local members are, so I can get help, advice, and find out what yall did to your rigs to make them better, and what you did you wish you hadn't.

TRCM,

I'm right here in NN :) Lee Hall area to be more specific. Where abouts are you? Finally somebody nearby, see lots of CTD's... but no TDR decals :(

Should get a bunch of us together at some point.

Glen

I'm down by the shipyard. I ain't seen many DTR stickers/badges either. Just mine.

Anywhere within 100 miles counts as far as I am concerned.

Maybe we ought to try and meet some time for coffee or something... I'm still wet behind the ears on this diesel thing.

Bring the wife and kids if you want. Plenty of street space for work and one driveway for those who need to jack up the Truck (3. 5 Ton jack and 2 stands here, bring your own if you need more. ) Some Air available (2. 5 Gallons onboard and 25' Hose)Nearest diesal fuel 2. 5 miles away (so don't come empty unless your doing a tank vent mod) :)

Plenty of food and grill space if you want something special. BYOB. No racing up and down the street is requested. The occasional soot display is acceptable. :)

Please let me know if you need more info. we are about 1 mile from exit 69 on I-66 inside the DC beltway (I-495).

Sorry I forgot to take the directions to the fall picnic at Kauffmans. I told myself 3 time to remember them but excitement of going and old age (44) happen.

Please let me know if you cummins so we can get you parked :)

TRCM you set a date and time I'll come on down if work permits. I'm kinda new to diesels too but always happy to lend a hand and make new friends. Sorry you had to miss my NoVa meet and greet but I understand the work you was doing. Plan something I'd be happy to come down that way!

Hey, I figured I'd say a quick hi. I'm over in Virginia Beach. It'd be cool if we could do more get togethers, but I'm willing to show up at the one in NoVA if there's one next year or whatever. I'm keeping this vehicle VERY mild, but some mods will insue. My jeep receives most of the mods.

I'm not really big into stickers, but I might get a custom TDR one made up.

Brian, trust me, my Jeep has severe attitude problems and too much into it. And I swore I would never mess with my truck, but after a basic comp, intake and exhaust, it has now bitten hard. I just ordered a full B1 wastegated, Mach 4's, TST3 adj, Edge EZ, SB FE 13. 25 conv. Performance Diesel Warehouse estimates it should go 525 or so at rear wheels. Hope you have more self control than me!!

BTW, I am a noob member too. I am about 3 hrs from NN, 1:45 from Richmond, and about 45 minutes west of D. C.
