My truck transmission is an NV5600. The truck is 4x4, limited slip. I have noticed fluid sprayed on the underside of the bed where the drive shaft is connected to the transmission. I am still under warranty for 3 more months. Someone told me this is a typical problem and not to worry about it. I don't have much confidence in the Dodge service in my area. Is this something I should get fixed before my warranty runs out?

I don't think even a Dodge tech could screw up a rear trans seal. I'd take it in, just on principle. You paid for the warranty, so use it.

Trans or transfer case fluid?

Mine was transfer case fluid.

Turned out it was a leak in the output yoke. :{

I cleaned up real good with brake cleaner and gooped up with RTV. Oo.

No more leaks. :cool:
