Search is Dead

hey Steve Search is el' Deadarado ... Kaput. It will hang and hang until I have to CTl+Alt+Del kill I. E. the whole site works fine but that search page hmmmm Maybee the pigmeys are at it again.

Grrr it figures. The site in general hangs now. I did a search but it took a while thats for sure. Everything else on the net rips (As with broadband it should) I wonder if its a issue on a hub or switchgear somewhere out here. I am actually watching the memory usage on I. E and it is hardly tapping the system resources at all. 4% of 1024MB Mem and that is while performing a search.



I did however notice that Ctrl+Enter has stopped working when surfing ... . Possibly this is an an I. E issue?

We're having a problem tonight in the chicago area - the backbone is timing out. Unforetunately backbone problems are becoming more and more common with the amount of traffic on the net. The peak server load tonight hit . 87 btw (2. 0 being 100%). Our traffic level keeps going up. This month we have 9 days with over 800,000 hits and 3 days in a row last week had 921,000 927,000 and 929,000 hits! Last month there were 8 days with over 800,000 hits and the month before that only 2.
