Search Problem

This has been going on for a number of years, however I just put up with it.



Now I want to solve it.



I reread how to do a search just to be sure I was not screwing up something.



I want to search for threads that have the words "fuel pickup" as a pair of words side by side in the thread text. When I put in quote fuel pickup quote like "fuel pickup" I get threads that have fuel or pickup but not restricted to threads that have the pair of words together.



I reread the search instructions and as I read it the method of "word word" is the way to do it.



I also tried +fuel +pickup to try that method.



I must be doing something wrong, but I sure am having a time figuering out what it is I am doing wrong.
