Why is it the TDR once again as of late has been inundated with redundancy? Steve ... You just may have to explore making the search icon , Spin , Blink , Play music , and knock on the backside of the monitor screen. :D ;) :-laf

I agree with this comment. If you look you can see three or more treads about the same thing, all on the page at the same time. I think there needs to be a reminder as a "sticky" at the top of all forums, asking for people to at least check for a active tread about their topic before stating a new thread.

This is not to be rude to the person asking for the information, but to try to get all the related information in the same place.

I use the search often and find what I need, but if the topic has not been addressed in 6 months or so, I will sometimes start a new thread to see if any new information. This is only done with topics where there could be new ideas or information available.

The moderators do have the option of merging threads and sometimes use it.

Main problem is that the search engine leaves much to be desired.

Well Bill Good point. If you know how to manipulate the search then it works fine. I. E searching "exhaust Brake" and give it the bad spelling that is most commonly seen "Exhaust Break" by joining them with AND you have a winner. But some threads are so simple that they should even be in the FAQ section and that was left dead in the water.
