My best Army assignment

Perfect addition to some other topics....

I want to search for threads on CBs, but it won't do it because it doesn't search for items with less than 3 letters. I thought about putting citizen band radio, but I know they are not refered to by that name on here. The CB shop here handles Cobra CBs. How do you guys feel about them, or do you have a brand that you like better? Any help will be appreciated.

Of the moderately priced CB's, Cobra is probably top. They also make and sell some junk, the 75 WX ST being an example. I have the 29 Classic and am very pleased with it. I am by no means an expert but have owned CB radios since late 60's. bg

Can't help on selection, but search with an asterisk filling in the extra space.

CB*

Good luck with it.

I have one of these and it works fine for what I want to used it for. That is keeping in touch with others in a caravan or group... I'm not interested in seeing if I can talk to someone 50 miles away by boosting the power, or giant whipping antennas all over the place (I have glass mounted antennas). I use the cell phone or HAM mobile for that. It mounts under the seat, and I don't have to worry about brackets, location, clutter, or how it looks..... ;)

I asked some pointed questions regarding this radio since it was obvious the salesman was pushing it. Basically, he said it was only as good as the antenna - he sold me a higher dollar antenna. Since then, I've found what he said about both the radio and the antenna were true, and I'm pleased with the performance. Plus the weather feature is nice, too.

Big Bob's radio is very strong - you may want to contact him is you want to 'reach out'.

I'm no expert, JMHO. Joe
