Hi Y'all. Looking for a simple light aluminum flat bed for my 3/4 ton. I will have a 5th wheel ball in the deck. Removeable headache rack. Tool boxes underneath. Side racks that swing down for a wider deck for snomobiles and removeable for the camper I will build for the flatbed ala EarthRoamer. Support my fantasy here boys. Vote no! Just kiddin. Any thots on this VERY welcome. GE

You might PM Shelby Griggs....

He had Les Schwab fab him one at their facility in Prineville Oregon. Very quality flat bed with lots of usable storage spaces.

Well thanks fellas. Good leads here. I don't care if it takes me a year to build the ultimate "survival" camper. Everything on solar and diesel plus a little wood stove from the marine side of life. Little diesel generator. AC in the diesel furnace. Rhino-liner walls and roof. Aluminum frame. Sitting on an aluminum flatbed. Thanks again. GE

Thanks BWB, your wife's truck just like mine except mine is the cheapie with the HO. Just a worker. Lot nicer things to drive everyday but I do enjoy my "real truck" as long as I don' "have" to drive it all the time. Liked that Highway Products site and will talk with them about a basic bed which I can modify after I get it. Dwela, you ol Hawaiian, that aluminum bed will be perfect in the tropics. Won't rust! I wonder if they can make me a simple one. Will check. Thanks men. GE

George,

Sounds like you plan to get away from it all to a serious degree! Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress, oh and don't forget the pictures.

Bob,

You can PM me with your suggestions and ideas or maybe start a new thread. Did you get any of the accessories?

Dan:)
