Hello TDR - I am still around just been too busy and not really worried about the 3500 lately. Thought I'd recount a few stories tho and comment about the help TDR and other forums have been -

1 - Still haven't resolved my door ajar issue, which I also believe is preventing my autostart from functioning. GOing to start checking for broken wires when I can.

2 - MAF Sensor - Cleaned mine the other day after my friend has his truck de-rate while towing a skid steer. Numerous codes, no power and a long drive home. Fortunately TDR and other forums pointed us to the MAF sensor. Net of it is that, once cleaned and reinstalled he was back in business.

3 - Front Grill... #@$%!Noticed a little fleck of silver on the grill and found out that someone had bumped and cracked it. So now I will be looking for an after market unit. Any suggestions

4 - Clutch seems to be hanging in there, it's been almost a year and quite a few miles with no problems!

To my friends south of the border have a great thanksgiving and to everyone have a great holiday season!!!

Sadly I am on my 4th. The first DM Stock went at 28k miles and I didn't know enough to ditch it. 2nd went @ about 40k miles and I went to an aftermarket but had some initial issues, so it was replaced. Been great so far... 80,000 miles now...

Dang! My stock went 99K and it had life still in it. Maybe quality control at LUK (OEM flywheel and clutch mfg) is the issue? Well have a Happy Holiday season and stay warm!

Cheers,

Ken

I think on the Door Ajar, the sensor is behind the panel. Sometimes the connector is not seated properly (pins get pushed back in the connector). Check the wires in the door. You may have to replace the sensor.

Changed out the latch last year - sensor is integral to the assembly. No joy. . need to find a warm place to work on her! Merry Xmas. .

If you unplugged the EGR, the auto start won't work. Just something else to think about. Well,, it will start. Just won't keep running. :)

Hmm I pulled the extraneous junk from under the hood but left the egr plugged in. Might that be a problem is the connection worked lose? I'll have to check that out!! Thanks Newt!!!

Update - Door Ajar - Caused by 4 broken wires between the door and pillar on the drivers rear door. Problem solved and I expect the autostart should work too... Need to find the starter fob first tho!!! ;-(
