Took a look for replacement cost from around $25.00 and you said that they are double edged so really that's not all that bad!!

It has been a couple of years since I bought any but at the time I think I was giving close to $60 for a set so I would say at $25 they have gotten disposable like most everything else now days.

My DeWalt came with an extra set of knives when I purchased it from Amazon about 1 1/2 years ago. I haven't replaced them yet and I work with a lot of white oak. I also purchased the stand with wheels. I wheel it outside my workshop when I use it because it's much easier to clean up outside than it is inside.

Wow, I'm glad I read this thread, I didn't think this kind of relationship between family and friends still existed in our screwed up country. I was going to comment on my new DeWalt 1/2" impact I bought, and when I rotated my tires and used the impact, how it torqued my lug nuts to 130 ft pounds with ease.
