Are the front seats on a 96 inter changeable from side to side? I know the seat base would have to remain in place because of power seats but moving the drivers seat to to the passenger side would help spread the wear and keep it nice inside longer.
Thanks
John

If you just want to swap the bottom cushions, it's no big deal. They are held on by four 10mm bolts-2 in front, 2 in back. I had to replace the broken wire/spring support thingy on my driver's seat (OK, I can hear you!) and used a piece of 1/8" thick Lexan to fix it.

I've traded seats in my 3500 for that very reason,no problem, but never tried with my 2500 with power seat, think it may be different. When I traded on the non-powered 3500 the lumbar support went to the pass side,no big deal I never used it,but the handle was in the way of the center console when folding up,had to remove the handle. You could just switch bottoms,it would be more work, but can be done.
Best thing is to use seat covers and try to sit in the center of the seat so it doesn't become "tiltly". I have to correct myself on that one all the time,to lazy to get all the way in I guess.
