Hey guys i was just on DTR and saw this. ANd well since i got banned there for NO reason im gonna post it over here. .

Theres a bunch of guys over there complaining about loose seats. Wehn you stop is fells like it moves/creeks. . And when you go it feels like it goes back/creeks... I notice mine does this to and the sound it makes is really ANNOYING!

ANyone have a fix for this im sure the guys a DTR will appreciate it and so would i

Nick

My seat seems a little loose and it makes a clicking noise. I haven't seen what I can do to fix it yet. . hopefully it's something easy:confused::D

well when i got home i looked under the seat... it seems like there is a arm type of device that pivots... Looks like im gonna have to drill out the stupid screw they used and machine my own and bolt it down.

My truck has been plagued with the squeaky seat (very annoying if radio is off) and now it seems my seat-back moves back and forth when I stop then accelerate.

However, before I try any "home remedies" I will certainly put the ball in my dealers court first.

You guy should quit accelerating so fast!!!!!! :D

This came up some time ago actually, I'm sure it is in the lead screw/nut assembly that moves the seat back and forth.

I've apparently gotten used to it, because I forgot to bring it up on my last trip to the dealer at 35,000 and change.

edit I just got to thinking ... ... ... ... . I have my seat all the way back now. That's why I don't feel it anymore.

Ive found that when i hear the noises i re-adjust the seat and the noises will go away for a couple days. . But then OH YEAH its back  ... I got banned because i am a 18 year old that has a 40k + plus that likes to post alot and try to help people out. . And i had some comment about fords and chevys... WHAT A JOKE

That's exactly what I do. It's the only thing about my truck that bugs the ***** out of me. I don't hear a noise but I definetly feel it rock just a slight forward or backward on hard acceleration and hard stops.

I can't figure out what it is, but I think it has to do with the power mechanism because the passenger seat (manual) is tight. I have taken it back to the dealer and they said it was just part of the design. I sure hope this becomes a safety issue and they have to issue a TSB.
