Dodge managed to send my truck with the driver side seatbelt clip backwards (or upside down). It the part that you actually insert into the buckle. If it's an easy fix I'll just do it myself. Does anyone know?

If the clip is right side up it's fairly easy to rectify... my wife gets the passenger side clip backwards every once in a while... she did on my last 4x4 too (GMC). In fact, every time I borrow her Chevy 4x4 I have to turn the seatbelt clip around the correct way. Anyway, sometimes I use a very small screwdriver to aid in rolling the belt over on itself and progressively working it, thereby reversing the direction of the seatbelt clip however, as I have had to do this many times ( ), I usually just do it by hand, rolling the belt over onto itself while moving the clip up (or down) the belt.

.....come to think of it I've reversed the seatbelt clip myself several times over the years.

john's got it right...

had that problem with my '97 1500. happened about every couple of weeks. haven't had the problem with my '01. 5 yet...

John,

Thanks for the reply. I feel like an idiot that I didn't just try to turn the clip around while it was still on the belt. Yes, it worked just fine.

I guess the guy from the Dodge service department should really feel like the idiot. I showed it to him yesterday & he told me that he would have to schedule at least 1 1/2 hour appointment next Friday... idiot!

I've given up on trying to keep the buckles strait. I swear the seat-belt gnomes go into my truck at night and flip the things. Hey, the gnomes exist, it could happen..... how else do you explain the gutted cats????

maybe so but...

I tried that once, but it bothered me to the point of reversing it myself before I gave it enough time to "fix" itself.:D

... oh well :D
