OK fellas, sorry to ask this, but how do you disable the chimer when you have your seatbelt off? this thing is driving me nuts!

thanks in advance

The procedure is in your owner's manual.

I don't have mine in front of me, but it has something to do with the remote key-fob and buckling/unbuckling the seat belt 3 times. Oh, don't forget to face north and howl at the moon! ;)

Seriously, it's in there. Or you can just plug the center seat belt into the driver's buckle. That'll shut it up.

When you do this do not do as the manual says and buckle and unbuckle

three or more times. Do it ONLY three times. It took me forever to figure that out without asking any one. And the more times I did it more than three times, the more barley pop I needed to keep from flying off the handle. #@$%! :-laf

as I am understanding this, plug and unplug the seatbelt 3 times only with the key in the acc position?!?!?!

correct?

thanks fellas!

That part should be in the owners manual. As I did this about two years ago I do not remember exactly how to do this I just remember the frustration I had when I did do it.

It drove me nuts for while when getting the mail, boat ramp, etc.

I slid the seat all the way forward and unplugged the connector at the seat belt buckle. Then I stripped a scrap of wire and cut off the bare strands and put a few in the plug to short the 2 terminals together and reconnected the plug. No more lights or dings because it thinks the belt is always buckled.

I do use my seatbelt, I just usually like to start up and get rolling and then put it on once I'm settled.
