On my '00 there is a connector under the seat going to the seat belt that I unplugged and jumped out.

I too always wear my seat belt and don't want a stupid buzz to remind me. If I unplug the seatbelt sensor under the seat, it has a constant buzz instead of a buzz every second or so.

Road Hazard (or anyone) can you tell me exactly what/how to "jump out" the plug? I fell stupid asking, but don't know what you mean, and really want to get rid of the buzz.

I thought, "All right! My first mod" (unplugging seatbelt buzzer) What a bummer that it didn't work :-(

Thank you,
Pat

I removed the chimer/wiper delay module, took it apart, and amputated the stupid little speaker. I keep thinking I will hook it up to a switch or something so I can enable again if I want but just havn't gotten around to it. Those chimes drive me nuts. When I stick in the key and turn it on all I hear is Cummins!

On my '95s the chime was actually built to be disabled, don't know about other years, but bet they are similar. Just follow the ding to the box under the dash, it hinges open, remove the quarter sized disc with a small metal strap, on the inside of the lid there is a clip that will hold the removed items, you're done! Just unplugging the box or sensors connected to it will cause other problems.
