Hello all,

I really need a rear bench seat in my truck and am real close to ordering the one from pcvrv.com but for the $500 it costs with the seat belt kit, shipping and such I'm betting I could go with a different seat and save some dough. I may have a line on a 2001 rear bench. Do any of you know if it will fit in the 1st gen rear?

I know Dieselgirl has a chebby rear seat in her truck but that doesn't really help me with the 2nd gen questions. I don't want to buy this seat without having some ideas of how they mount or if they will even fit depth and leght wise. Thanks again. I love this site.

I used a F##d seat for the rear of my CC, I bolted the back to the cab back as I did not want to mess with making it flip down like it did originally, I made some brackets to weld the seat bottom pivots to the existing jump seat brackets on the floor, I got seat belts, 3 across, from a F##d passenger van(funny how there were so many products from that manufacturer at the J yard to scavenge from) I paid about $ 50 for all... . the coloris a pale blue, which in the poor rear lighting almost matches, my 5 year old loves it, my wife can tollerate it... . I can fit, but luckally I drive. Sorry I don't have picts to post, but that would only frustrate me in trying to post them anyhow..... good luck

I hope you're short! The front seat would have to be pretty well forward for anyone to be remotely comfortable sitting on a bench. There isn't a whole lot of room back there!

I have a 96 back bench in mine. . And yes its very tight, especially with my custom seats its tight against the consol. I had a good friend do the welding for me to install it.

He made hangers for the rear wall to hang the seat on and fabbed up pedistals for the bottom feet to mount to. It was about a 3 hour job, but he has a fab shop in his garage. . LOL.

Works OK for a child seat, but no leg room. I don't have digital camera right now or I would post some pics. :(
