Second Overdrive Switch?

A lot of my driving is "in town" 25 to 45mph, with short freeway runs. I have been training myself to kick out the overdrive to help keep it alive. What'd be handy though, is if I could add an additional switch at my console (seems like that od switch is a long way away sometimes... ). Any thoughts? Any hints? I saw the posts for the 2nd gen od switch, I'd rather not head in that direction.

You can move the OD switch to the shifter stalk by buying a 98 shifter stalk and swapping it in. You can just tag into the existing wires and use the dash light or add an LED somewhere. Best mod I have done internally.
