Competition New to pulling, what do I want

Competition What?

Yesterday (Sunday), Redding, CA had there 2005 National Dragster Challenge. This was a Wally race, and I won the championship in Sportsman! Oo.

I had a blast at the race. The announcer could not get over a diesel pickup that weighs over 7000lbs, could run 12. 80's (my best time was a 12. 86, which is my best time ever). The Sportsman class at Redding is 12. 00 and slower, so I turned the Comp box up to 4x5. The pickup ran very perdictable, and trouble free. Smoke was very low, just a little on launch, and then cleaned right up. I had a bunch of people all day long wanting to know if I was running N2O, or Propane. :-laf

Thanks to Rip and Robert at Source Automotive , F1 Diesel (Don M) , and DTT .

That's awesome - good job! One Wally could be considered by some (not me) a fluke but no way could two be! Keep beating on those gasser boys with that big stinky old farm truck ;)

Once again you have done a great job Paul and I cannot think of a better guy to represent us than you  Way to go and I hope you continue to wow the gasser world by whooping up on them :D

Congrats Paul. No wonder you ran away with the NHRDA title.

Thanks Pat, but I can think of at least 45 people that will be gunning for me next year! Unless I switch classes then, there will be about 45 guys rooting for me! :-laf

You're just saying that to lull me into a false sense of security, so that you can really whoop on me next yearr... :-laf

:-laf I think it makes some people nervous have a 7000lb truck chasing them down the track. I had a gal yesterday in a mustang, that broke out big time. I don't think she was actually racing... I just think she was trying to run away... :-laf

That has got to be the best compliment that I have had. Thanks Hoss!
