One of my co-workers truck has been having some problems lately. It is a '98. 5 4x4, 5-speed with ~350,000 miles on it. It has had a very tough life.
It has been having a hard time starting and randomly shuts down when going down the road. It has been taken to the dealer's shop a few times where they replaced the APPS, fuel pump, and various other random items. I understand that at one point it came back with nothing fixed and the mechanic told him there was nothing wrong. Sure as day, 15 miles down the road, the truck quit.
Today, it quit again, and when the key is off or out of the ignition, The "Security" light stays on and the "Wait to Start" light comes on. When the key is turned on, the "Security" light stays on and the odometer flashes. The truck won't start.
What is the computer telling us?
Thanks.
