Hey family,
to me this seems normal but wanted to ask yall since it’s happened on my last 3 Cummins trucks.
weather gets super cold and then I start to have coolant leaking out of my overflow hose where it connects to the radiator and no where else.
story, last week it got into -temps with wind chill. Truck sat for 3 days plugged in and then when I went to leave found coolant puddle under right front passenger side and coolant trail from overflow hose down. Dried off and monitored for a couple days. No more leaking since we were above freezing.
Drove to work last night and when I went to leave I checked and found a couple drips again from the hose.
in the past I’ve just put a hose clamp there because I’ve never trusted that tube just blowing off. Is this normal for these trucks?
no symptoms of a blown head gasket or anything so that’s not on my radar.
