You really take care of that mower! You should see the older one my parent's have. If you push the wrong way on the handle, the blade hits the deck :-laf



I have a decent Craftsman one, not sure how long that will last though, I ran it on diesel and a bit of mixed gas a while back when I didn't have anymore regular gas for it.

I have an old snapper 2-stroke s/p commercial, Iv'e had it forever, it always runs, and as noted earlier it has a bulletproof drive.

My vote goes to the toro personal pace mowers.

2nd for the personal pace. Not to fast not too slow always just right. Ground speed is not engine RPM dependant.

We have had great luck with the Toro personal pace self propelled lawn mower. We got the electric start one and it would still fit into your budget. Great mower, starts everytime and mows wonderful. We have had it now for 4 years without a single insident.
