This doesn't really fit into the problems or luck category, but if you do put it on e-bay, be sure to include a number of pictures both outside and inside. I won't even look at an ad if it doesn't have pics. Also, go overboard to be honest in your description. List all dents, scratches, etc. It keeps you from getting complaints afterward.

Sold my 96 there last year. The biggest problem you'll likely encounter is the fact that the general public is not educated to any of the aftermarket equipment (and the associated costs) you may have added to the truck. My truck was heavily modified, and I spent alot of time making the auction full of information and links to various aftermarket websites (i. e. DTT, Banks, Fabtech, etc) so that the potential buyers would be educated to the "great Deal" I was offering. I ended up getting about $3000 over book.

You will also do better selling off any aftermarket parts you can easily remove seperately in the TDR classifieds or ion Ebay. Most potential buyers won't offer you any more for all your hard work and well spent money.

i sold a car on ebay about a year ago... went well... but i agree make sure you fully disclose everything and take off everything you can... i was in the car business for a while (4 years) and aftermarket mods scare alot of buyers.

I bought my f350 off EBay and the biggest issue was the seller not contacting me in a timely manner. Pictures are a must and the links are a great idea.

eBay is excellent for selling these vehicles. i have had only a few minor problems encountered with eBay. i have boughten several trucks and sold one as well. like someone else said ... be honest... detailed description and pictures is a MUST.

Vic,

You sold that thing yet? I sell and buy a fair amount of stuff on ebay and have been pleased so far. I've never sold anything as big as a truck on there though. My buddy from work sold his 944 Porsche on there and was pleased.

BTW, sorry I never called, I suck. I suck. I suck. I'm a loser.

Toby, not sold yet. I just listed it on ebay about a day back now and has a few bids - we'll see how it goes. I also put adds in a few other places.

Yeah - you slacked and didn't call - but I still like ya ;->

So if anyone knows of someone looking for a 12V look at my add.
