Thinking of selling my '93 work truck; need to know what a fair price would be for the classifieds. Here's the layout:

1993 W250 club cab, 4x4, longbed. Automatic(35k on new A518 w/ DTT torque converter and superior shift kit), longbed, 241k miles. Power windows, locks, brakes, steering, ext. mirror. Air conditioning, cold fronts, white exterior/grey cloth interior, bucket seats, rear slider. Exterior is in good condition, driver door has very minor dent. Has welded tubular ladder rack which was made for the truck with removable crossmembers.

Any comments would be appreciated.

When I purchased mine about 6 months ago I paid $6,900 from a dealer in town only difference is it was a 1992 and had a manual trans. and a few more miles.

If the paint and suspension are in good shape, I'd start at $7000 and work down to about a bottom of $6000. The miles dont scare anyone who knows what they are looking at. These old rigs bring top dollar out there, IF they're not beat to heck and been abused; in other words, the polar opposite of mine. Having a new performance transmission will help it sell. Does it have any gauges? Power upgrades? If you are within in 75mi of I-25, you should be able to sell it within a month. I gave $3500 for mine, and it needed a turbo, injectors, head gasket (ok, shortly after I bumped the timing, and ran it up junkyard hill outside the Springs at 75 w/30psi boost. ), Body wasnt in BAD shape, but far from good.

jlast; sorry no pics available

dpuckett; no engine mods or gauges

I think $7000 would probably be my absolute bottom dollar. Just the transmission and it's upgrade were $2800. There's a dealer in Ft. Lupton(A&W) that loves these 1st Gens, maybe I'll go see what they'll give me. Thanks for the responses.

I bought my first Dodge CTD from A&W (happens to be sitting in the driveway now). Good guys, but a little proud of their stuff, and dont give you enough credit for your own, IMO. Not near as bad as Cowboy Corral, though. Wouldnt even look at my 84 F250 6. 9 for a trade.

I wouldnt hold my breath too long waiting on A&W to give you more than $7K, esp with the "high miles. " might ask if you could consign it. Not sure what they'd charge or anything like that. Just know some trucks on their lots have been consignments before.

I paid 9500 for my 93 d350 with 70k miles in April last year. Would not take that now at 90k. It is not perfect but it is better than any I have seen short of show trucks. If your not broke and gotta sell, don't. It is better than a new one. I own three and they "ain't fer sale".
