Sending in oil sample question

I think this is the right forum, since it's an engine oil sample from an '03...



I got a couple sample kits from Genos. Sampling the oil seemes like a good idea after the banging noise I had a few weeks ago (dealer claimed was just a rocker that had come loose, I don't know if I believe that or not).



The directions weren't explicit on the shipping. Can I use the US Postal Service? How much postage?

Just send it in...

I had the same question and concern. When it came down to finally sending it, I just dropped it in the slot at the local Post Office. Somewhere along the line I found a reference to an allowance for small amounts of oil and similar fluids. The crux of it had to do with the small quantity and higher flash point (at least relative to things like gasoline. )



No worries now, and I'll be sending in another one soon.

You certainly can send oil analysis bottles with used oil through the U S postal service. I do it all the time!
